How TBT Offers Clients Low Medical Transcription Rates
You're probably asking yourself, “So if TBT doesn't outsource it's work, then how can they offer affordable transcription services?” It's because we use only the top transcriptionists and the latest technology. We only hire the best and most qualified individuals for our staff. Our rigorous pre-employment screening process ensures that only the top medical transcriptionists are employed by TBT. All of our MT's have a minimum of 5 years experience and a proven track record. Additionally, we use the most up-to-date medical lexicons, dictionaries and reference materials as well as powerful computer software to ensure that our transcriptions are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This saves both our company and your practice, time and money.
TBT's affordable transcription services and rates are based on the dictated minute method. Since, character and line count definitions vary from service to service, all information provided is based on the dictated minute method. The definition of a dictated minute is the actual time in minutes, broken down by the hundredth of a minute, it takes a dictator to record their dictation. Most physicians dictate approximately a page per minute. Average line rates are given for comparison only. All billing will be done on a per minute basis.
The charges for providing a digital dictation system, toll free access, quality transcription, electronically transmitted files, STAT turnaround (upon request), and report customization are listed below. Please note that the per line rate is for comparison purposes only.
- 1.85 per dictated minute which compares to 12 to 14 cents per 65 character line
- 2.10 per dictated minute for STAT dictation which compares to 14 to 16 cents per 65 character line- All Stats must be called in between the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday (CST) for a 1-4 hour turn-around.
